Hello dear! Welcome to my Bloggggg! I’m as excited as you are to read this because I know you are here for a purpose.
Without too much rambling I’ll get to the main course of today.
Purpose in pain
I’m sure you’re wondering what this means, don’t worry, I’m getting there.
Let me start off with the meaning of purpose. PURPOSE simply means “that which you’re meant to do in a certain thing”. In Christianity or rather Spirituality, purpose means “that which God has preordained you do do”, it means your mandate in life.
I’m sure you’ve prayed before to God asking Him to help you fulfill purpose or you’ve heard your pastor preach about it in church. Yeah right?!
In our quest to fulfill purpose, we always want everything we’ve ever ask God to come on a platter of gold. We always want everything smooth and when it doesn’t seem like it we begin to grumble and murmur.
There is something we need to know about God. He is a God beyond “Human understanding”.
God’s purpose becomes more beautiful when it is revealed in our pains. It comes with more insights, more knowledge and with more ease. So I beseech you my dear reader to trust in God and hold steadfast in faith because God’s purpose is about to be revealed to you in that pain, in that frustration, in that brokenness. God wants you to just BE STILL so that His GLORY can be revealed to YOU!
Isaiah 55:8-9 says
For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” declares the LORD. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts
This verse is just a good reminder that our ways are nothing compared to God’s ways neither is His thoughts alike with ours.
So when everything doesn’t go well, relax and believe in the Father in heaven for His thoughts towards you are of good and not of evil but to give you an expected end. (Jerimiah 29:11)
You might also be wondering and murmuring to God saying all sorts of things like “why is God letting me go through this?” “why is everything going wrong in my life?” You just need to be calm! JUST BE CALM!
Read these bible verses below
Isaiah 41:10 says
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 43:2 also says
When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
Now can you see, God knows that you’re passing through that storm. He knows you just lost your job and you’re frustrated. He knows you’re financially down. He knows you need Him more than anything. Here is what He is telling you to do….
Psalm 37:7 “Be still in the presence of the LORD, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes”.
Psalm 46:1 says “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. The reality is that there will be difficult times, but God promises to be our refuge. When buildings crumbling and our world is shaken. God has not failed us”.
God is asking only one thing from you as you go through your difficult times, just Be Still. I don’t think that’s too much to ask.
I’m sure you now understand God’s way and thoughts concerning every difficult phase we go through.
Let’s move on to the beauty of THIS! Which is the Purpose in our pains. Anytime I feel down or feel defeated by my actions and situation the first quote that comes to my head is “everything happens for a reason”. Believe it or not, your present pain is currently happening to you for a purpose. That phase you’re going through that seems unfavorable to you, is there for a reason. The earlier you come in terms with the fact that things in life are also meant to go wrong, the better it will be for you. God wants you to discover something from what you’re currently going through. Have you thought for a second about the beauty of your current situation? Perhaps No.
God wants to open your eyes to see things in a different perspective and not carnally. He wants you to embrace what you’re feeling now and make it worth while.
2 Corinthians 1:3-8 says
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. 5 For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ. 6 If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings we suffer. 7 And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort. 8 We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about the troubles we experienced in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself”.
1 Peter 4:12-19
12 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. 14 If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. 15 If you suffer, it should not be as a murderer or thief or any other kind of criminal, or even as a meddler. 16 However, if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed, but praise God that you bear that name. 17 For it is time for judgment to begin with God’s household; and if it begins with us, what will the outcome be for those who do not obey the gospel of God? 18 And, “If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?” 19 So then, those who suffer according to God’s will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.”
Whatever circumstance or futile situation you’re currently going through I pray God comes down in His full glory to act on that situation right now In Jesus Name.
